Abu Dhabi Real Estate Takes Center Stage Ahead of IREIS 2025 Surge

Abu Dhabi is poised to make headlines this September as the 14th edition of the International Real Estate & Investment Show (IREIS 2025) prepares to welcome over 2,000 global investors, developers, and property visionaries. From 12–14 September at ADNEC.

The UAE capital will become the epicenter of cross-border real estate investment as excitement builds around the emirate’s growth momentum and investor-focused ecosystem.

With its soaring skyline and future-focused urban planning, Abu Dhabi has become more than just a regional hub it’s a magnet for global capital. In the first quarter of 2025 alone, the emirate recorded a staggering AED 25.3 billion in real estate transactions, marking a 34.5% jump from Q1 2024, according to Abu Dhabi Real Estate Centre (ADREC). These numbers aren’t just impressive they’re a loud signal to investors: Abu Dhabi’s real estate market is thriving.

At the heart of this growth is a recipe many cities aspire to perfect economic stability, world-class infrastructure, and a crystal-clear urban vision. The government’s bold “Abu Dhabi Vision 2030” has steered development toward creating smart, livable communities, infused with green spaces, premium amenities, and seamless connectivity. From waterfront neighborhoods to tech-driven business zones, the capital is ticking all the right boxes for long-term value and lifestyle excellence.

The numbers back it up. Buy-sell activity in Q1 2025 surged to AED 15.51 billion across 3,819 transactions up nearly 27% in value and 11% in volume year-on-year. Even mortgage transactions saw a robust 49% boost, touching AED 9.8 billion. These figures echo a broader trend seen in 2024, which closed with AED 96.2 billion in total real estate activity a 10.45% increase in value from the previous year.

Now in its 14th year, IREIS 2025 is more than a property expo it’s a full-scale real estate marketplace designed for serious investors. This year’s event spans 3,500 square metres, hosts 30+ exhibitors, and features national pavilions from countries like Turkey and Egypt. It’s where real estate ambition meets actionable opportunity.

Arun Bose, Director of IREIS, frames it perfectly: “IREIS is not just a show it’s a launchpad for innovation, networking, and wealth-building. Abu Dhabi isn’t just open for business; it’s welcoming the world.”

The event is also upping the ante this year with new digital experiences. Virtual property tours and tech-enabled showcases will allow visitors to interact with projects like never before. A special zone dedicated to Citizenship by Investment (CBI) consultants will spotlight second-home and global residency programs catering directly to high-net-worth individuals exploring safe, lucrative offshore opportunities.

One of Abu Dhabi’s strongest drawcards is its luxury real estate market. In 2025 alone, branded residences have increased fourfold compared to last year. In just the first four months of the year, luxury transactions valued at AED 7 million and above climbed to AED 6.3 billion. Over half of these transactions exceeded AED 10 million a testament to investor confidence in Abu Dhabi’s ultra-premium offerings.

This makes IREIS the perfect platform for buyers, brokers, and institutional players to explore the emirate’s most exclusive residential stock. Whether you’re eyeing waterfront villas, branded penthouses, or off-plan developments with high ROI potential, the event is set to showcase it all.

The UAE’s broader property landscape remains equally strong. In 2024, over 331,000 transactions took place across the four main emirates, totaling nearly AED 893 billion. Abu Dhabi, backed by a projected real GDP growth rate of around 4% and a GDP value exceeding US$568 billion in 2025, stands tall as a secure investment environment.

What adds to this confidence? A zero-tax regime, investor-friendly regulations, and a surging influx of new residents. In fact, 6,700 new millionaires are expected to relocate to the UAE by the end of 2025, making the country a global destination for wealth migration and property investment.

Beyond property showcases, IREIS 2025 offers thought-leadership forums, golden visa updates, and insights into emerging investment models like fractional ownership and cross-border digital real estate. Attendees can access one-on-one consultations with legal, financial, and immigration experts right on the exhibition floor.

Whether you’re a seasoned investor, looking for your second home, or building your advisory network in the region, IREIS 2025 delivers something extraordinary. Abu Dhabi isn’t just a place to invest it’s a lifestyle and financial strategy rolled into one.
